First Official Teaser for The Witcher Season Four
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, the first official teaser for season four of The Witcher offers a clearer look at Australian actor Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill played Geralt in the first three seasons but chose to leave the project without giving a precise reason. Netflix had previously announced that The Witcher will conclude with its fourth season.
Seasons four and five, written by Lauren Hissrich, will adapt the final three books of Andrzej Sapkowski’s saga: Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake. Laurence Fishburne, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri will also star in the upcoming seasons.
Freya Allan, who plays Ciri, told Collider last month that she hopes fans won’t treat Hemsworth harshly: “I don’t want to speak for him, but as far as I know, he’s really giving it his all and wants to throw himself into the role. He’s been training. Honestly, I feel for him, because firstly, fans can be very aggressive, and stepping into a role already played by another actor is not the most comfortable position.”
Season four of The Witcher will premiere on October 30, 2025.
